"The lyrics sat me right down on a warm barstool next to a cold beer, listening to the stories of someone's history, how they grew up, the challenges they faced and how they survived. "Corner of the World" has a way of taking you out of where you are now, and making you remember people and places, even if you've never been there or met them. It seems to really capture and crystallize a moment in time with the song "Leavin'," which is almost eerily, sweetly real.
